Thinking of cooking a meal of fresh pastas for your family? For a healthier choice, opt to make your sauces from scratch and drop in some of those fresh tomatoes to improve their brain health.
There is good evidence to suggest that lycopene, a powerful antioxidant found in tomatoes could help protect against the kind of free radical damage to cells which occurs in the development of dementia, particularly Alzheimer’s.
P.S. In order to get the lycopene, the tomatoes need to be cooked.
