A special Mother’s Day in recognition of our women and the importance of community cohesion.
On 8th May, Sunday, Big Big Heart took to the streets for their first major outreach to the public to raise community awareness of domestic violence and promote healthy marriage.
This awareness program is an islandwide campaign, with Orchard Road and Dhoby Ghaut being the first 2 locations earmarked for the first round of distribution.
Together with the support of 60 volunteers, we went on the objective to share with the public on domestic violence within marriages and shed light on what could have possibly become an increasing trend within the generations.
The event was a heartening success as it garnered support from the social community as well as members of the public, with commitment rings all distributed within 4 hours.
We would like to thank all the devoted Heartists representing the respective companies – New Union, Kingsland Global, Kingsland Development, Fundhive, Trillion, Redbrick and the individual volunteers who came and supported in this campaign!
